Accordingly, CCS was very excited to host the financial services pros from RBC on July 24 at one of CCS\u2019 Scarborough locations for the inaugural RBC Financial Literacy Workshop.<\/p>\n<p>RBC employees\u2019 Richel Balatbat, Ajanthika Senthamilselvan and Naoual Ouastani shared their considerable business acumen with clients from CCS small business and financial literacy programs. The group conducted a presentation on personal finance fundamentals including budgeting, managing debt, savings techniques, credit products, as well as tips for budding entrepreneurs, such as what it takes to launch a small business, or how to get a business loan. The team then took questions from the dozen attendees and CCS program managers for the better part of two hours.<\/p>\n<p>Micheal Dicio, is the manager at RBC\u2019s Fairview Mall branch and coordinated the bank\u2019s team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiving back to the communities we serve is important to RBC and we are happy to share our expertise around financial services with frontline social services\u2019 organizations like CCS.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CCS has been offering financial literacy services \u2014 a key element in the newcomer settlement process \u2014 to the GTA communities it serves since 2017, so that clients gain an understanding of core personal banking concepts, ultimately enabling them to better navigate the world of finance with confidence and achieve financial stability.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were thrilled to have RBC come in and work so closely with our clients and help them along their settlement journey with a better understanding of banking and finance,\u201d said Mary Sharif, settlement services manager, who helped organize the event.<\/p>\n<p>CCS looks forward to building on the successful launch of their partnership with RBC by collaborating on further workshops around financial literacy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CCS has been helping newcomers understand the wide world of banking a for a long time, but never before in partnership with&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":11060,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[71,94],"tags":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.4 -
